Wirtshaus Zur Geroldsauer Muhle in Baden-Baden

Proud prices, but super tasty. Great beer garden but also very comfortably modern inside. Unfortunately, it was usually already full in the evening ... but speaks for the inn. Recommended!

When we passed there last winter, there was unfortunately no more space available. Yesterday we tried again just before the kitchen closed. Due to the good weather, the outside seating was well attended, and inside almost everything was free. The atmosphere is just really cozy, it really fits into the Black Forest. Also from the outside, just incredibly beautiful. We both had the beef roulade with spaetzle. The food was a dream. The sauce for the roulade is divine. The spaetzle were also the best we've eaten in a long time. The service was very nice and courteous. We'd love to come back ?

I always rate quality over quantity, but to call two small dumplings with a dollop of potato salad as a "large portion" and then to charge € 14.50 is really cheeky. Because it tasted good, and because of the corona bonus I give it 4 stars, but only because of that! Ambiente is more like a gravel parking lot on the main road than a cozy beer garden.

Beautiful restaurant with a very inviting beer garden. Today we went to dinner with 2 families around 4.30 p.m. Unfortunately we had to wait almost 30 minutes to be registered by the staff, the tables next to and around us also had to constantly call for staff, but no one came, although there were enough staff. It was a shame, not in keeping with the ambience, because it is really very nice. But we'd love to come back and try again! The food was delicious, the kids could play in the playground! Despite everything, it was a nice late afternoon ?

A beautifully located beer garden, also with an inside bar. Extremely attentive and friendly service, although the complex is very large! The food came quickly and was excellent! As far as I've seen, children also have a playground and access to the water. Delicious beer! All in all very recommendable!

Went here during Corona period. Great restaurant with delicious food and friendly staff. Try the pasta with schwarzwalderkäse!

Visited on a Wednesday evening. Parking lots very full, restaurant not very busy. 95% of the guests sat outside. At the reception a young man who noted down the usual corona data. When we asked where we could sit, he pointed to the inside of the restaurant, which we noticed because of the slowly falling temperatures. Besides us there was a family of 3 who studied the menu. We held out for 25 minutes - nobody (!) Even took any notice of us, although we were sitting in sight of the aforementioned receptionist. We then left. The family still had the cards in front of them and made desperate attempts to make themselves felt. We will never go there again and we will advise against it to all acquaintances and friends! Maybe also interesting for the restaurateur: We were there to sound out the quality, as we wanted to eat there with 20 people in a few weeks.

Very clean restaurant. The staff is super nice and attentive. Price is higher price range. But the food is very tasty and large portions.

There is no variety of food, and the waiter was not cooperative, he did not know how to make a menu suggestion. They didn't have all the dishes on the menu and it was quite expensive. In addition, he could not take the order correctly, forgetting to bring a portion. I do not recommend.

Food itself is great. If the waitress and the boss would pull the mask over the nose, there would be 5 stars. We found the 2 of our dishes that we wanted to order no longer to be strange on a barely full day. Nevertheless, I would recommend this restaurant!

Great food and lovely atmosphere, while not being old-fashioned. Prices are a bit steep and the portion size is on the smaller side, but the food is excellent if you're into traditional German food

Very cozy restaurant, great atmosphere, extremely child-friendly. Very friendly service. Unfortunately, the food is delivered so quickly that this is only possible with ready-made dishes, even though the menu is extremely manageable. The above-average price is not appropriate for this. Too bad.

Overall, delightful experience. We went for breakfast. The place initially looked expensive . The ambience was beautiful!!!! and menu is very very affordable. The places to seat are beautifully arranged. The service is also very good! Food is delicious.. If you re travelling through the road or in the neighbourhood, highly recommend to visit.

The Geroldsauer mill is always worth a visit. This time we were in the tavern. The hunting room accommodated us well. Delicious dishes, friendly and courteous staff and fast service! Changing dishes throughout the year. Now in October, a small selection of venison specialties awaits the guest.

A beautiful place, one would think for a moment in Bavaria. An original concept to include a small shopping arcade with local artisan specialties directly next to a restaurant. The meals are of quality, with prices a little more expensive than other signs. Do not forget to ask for the menu card in French. The terrace is top. Nice stop for biker and walkers. No. away from this address. A waterfall not to be missed.

Nice restaurand in the black forest. The nature around it is lovely. The price was a litle bit high for me. Not all the waitresses could speak english, at this price I would expect a smooth service without any kommunikatiin difficulties. The foods was not an extra.

Great beer and burger. Service was excellent. Another table ordered pizza which looked and smelled amazing! Hopefully we are passing through again to try some. Would certainly recommend a visit

Rustic ambience and yummy food.

What a fantastic find! - lovely shopping area with an unbelievable selection of cakes and pastries. We stopped for coffee and weren't disappointed. This was actually my 2nd visit having stopped on a motorcycle tour a couple of years back with friends - I was keen to go back with my wife and she loved it too,

Very nice for excursions or in the summer in the beer garden highly recommended. Also for wheelchair users or with pushchairs all easily accessible. The gateway to the Black Forest. Not only for tourists but for everyone. There is also a playground nearby.

Very authentic and stylish restaurant. Very good and filling food. Went there after walking through the schwarzwald. So we needed a proper meal and we're really amazed. Also had a peace of the iconic black Forrest cake which was tasting amazing. Not too heavy. Really soft and yummy. Also big compliment to all the people working there. Really nice.

A great place to stop off. The Geroldsauer Wirtshaus impresses with its extraordinarily beautiful location in the Black Forest: right next to a mountain river. The beer garden is very nice and neatly prepared and offers space for numerous guests. What is immediately noticeable is that everything is very well maintained. There is also a playground right by the inn, so that children can play there on the one hand and in the shallow areas of the water on the other. The service was very friendly and helpful. However, we had to wait some time for the food, for which they apologized visibly. Also for the fact that our ordered food would unfortunately be over. For this we were offered another meal on the house. That's great service and a good solution. The Geroldsauer Wirtshaus is a great place to eat well. Also suitable for larger celebrations. There are enough parking spaces right around the inn.

Best restaurant ever. The food is delicioso and the sight is simply amazing. I cannot describe the peace that you can feel in this place.

Excellent food and service

Our first time travelling through Baden-Baden and this stop off was very welcome. Comfortable seating, a new toilet block and polite staff made it a pleasant stop. We had a great coffee and a snack - pricey in places but good quality. There is also a great shop selling a wide range of local food products and cakes. Would visit again when next passing.

The best thing about this place was the ambiance. Very nice restaurant in a mix of modern / traditional style. Service is also dressed to match. However, the waiter was unfortunately a bit stressed and rushed at the order acceptance. The card is small, prices in the upper segment. We were in a larger group here and still the food came at the same time. Tasty okay, wait about 45min.

What a fantastic place! The food is superb and the staff are very friendly. I adore visiting this place. The parking, facilities and local produce are excellent.

Went to Wirtshaus just outside Baden Baden with my wife today well what can I say very polite when we arrived but dropped the bear mats down in front of us. Seemed to be in a hurry to serve us banged the plates down. My wife had the Beef and red cabbage that was very good I had Ruadolf but he was very very salty and he may have just delivered last years presents as he was as tuff as old boots would I go back ?????? I will give them two stars just for the bar man who under stood my very bad German

Very nice place to hang out, buy some local specialties, have a snack break during a walk or just a meal. The dishes are simple but effective in ample quantity ... However a little more expensive than average in the region. But the setting is nice especially for all lovers of wood ...

The best restaurant in the area. Great and delicious food. We went there several times during our stay for the good food and amazing place.

Sure it's all 'green' and 'bio' here, but if you want to price your weird looking vegetables and funky shaped fruits for about three times the price, could you please at least try to be friendly and curtious doing it? The one star I gave was for the 'Biergarten' connected to it, for the friendly staff there and cold beer!

Good beer Garden with good local food. New Building with lots of local bio produce, well worth a visit. You can also walk from here to the famous waterfalls further up the valley. Parking and the watermill is also on local bus route from Baden-Baden. A great Black Forest introduction.
